Those skills are worth bragging about. cool!

Me, after a few months of little riding due to winter weather, I've
been getting out again. My brag is that although I've lost some
endurance, my skills from last year are still intact. I know it's not
much of a brag, but I'm glad not to be losing ground.

I'll start.

Yesterday, I transitioned from one-foot riding to one-foot idling and
back again for the first time, I seat-out hopped up a curb and rode off
for the first time, I came closer to a suicide mount than ever before
(I can do the jump onto the pedals, but only if I hold onto the seat),
and I went in a backwards circle with a smaller radius than ever
before.

So, did you pick up a new trick today? Finally make that six-foot
static side hop? UPD for a stupid reason? Post here!

Nice going Eric! You'll have to show me those new tricks when we ride
this Tuesday! Well I just got back from Moab Muni fest, and I kinda
learned something new.

A film crew from Mountain Dew was there filming a lot of us and asked
me if I could/would hop down a ledge at a skatepark that was hihger
than I've *ever* hopped...so naturally i said yes!

I was pretty scared but tried not to show it as I side hopped about 4.5
feet down, and landed it first try! Whew! Other than that both Eric and
I learned recently to mount to one-foot pedalling both from pedal to
crown and then mounting first with one foot on the crown directly to
one-foot pedalling. cool!

I rode my skinniest skinny today. I put down 3 star pickets end to end
and rode along them. They're about 4mm wide. I feel special.

Edit: Oh, I also hit a 6ft gap SIF for the first time without not
failing at it. It was 2 concrete slabs with grass in between them.

The other week me and Andrew Carter went to a bike trials comp. After it
we both spent about 30min to an hour practising riding a really skinny
cable, we both mananged to get to the end, it was about 3 or 4m long
and wobbled like crazy

Default Today I... (brag thread)

Hey, I'm new here, and while not new to unicycling by any means, besides
MUNI I've just recently started trying to better my unicycling self.
Recently I learned to jump on instead of just free mounting as I've
done for years.

God willing I'll have a teaching job coming this fall, and I want to
start a club where ever I end up, so I want to learn enough to be able
to teach students exactly what they need to do to succeed.

What do you think should be next? I kinda want to learn the whole,
jumping off the pedals, onto the wheel, and hopping, it seems within my
current abilities, I've just never tried.

Any tips would be great.

I know why Tomsey is so good at backs and why Shaun owns at normal

It has to do with the gravitational pull. Like how the toilet flushes
in the opposite direction down there. Well its easier down there to
flip backwards then forwards

I FINALLY learned to freemount correctly. With the pedals at 3 and 9
instead of 6 and 12 which I had been trying on a slope. I had gotten
OK at the 6 and 12 but can't believe how much easier it is to do it the
correct way. I learned from my son, it is all in shifting your
weight.

Now I need to learn to hop.

That would be the Static mount then.
Have a look around for the Roll-Back Mount.
Worth learning.
