'Customer Service', my arse...
Apologies for this rant, but I'm still fuming.
Today was my second attempt to get a spare part for my trailer. I think the first attempt must have failed, because I've not heard anything for a fortnight. This afternoon I phoned the Customer Service (sic) dept of the company concerned, and they claim that because it's not on their list of standard spare parts they won't be able to help me. Somewhere in the Far East there must be a box of these parts kicking about, but that seemed to be beyond Mr Service's comprehension. As far as he was concerned, these trailers arrive in the UK boxed and fully formed. The very word 'manufacture' is probably a thoughtcrime where he works. I would be quite happy to deal directly with the Oriental sweatshop they've outsourced manufacture to, but no, Mr Service knew his boundaries and couldn't even consider helping and continued to interrupt and talk trough me. This has really wound me up. The trailer is currently the only means my disabled son has of getting around with us at any speed on a day out, and we've had several fun trips with it so far. He already misses out on quite a bit, so I refuse to let a single ounce of his enjoyment be curtailed by jobsworth Customer Service *******. And I also refuse to ditch a perfectly good trailer for the sake of one easily replaceable part. That's better. I feel composed enough now to write a letter of complaint. Cheers |

Is it worth posting a description of the damaged part to this group as there is a good possibility somebody will know where to source it? You never know what may turn up. -- Take out the garbage to reply Regards Tony Hogarty |
