I went to the store (Mountain Equipment CoOp) where I purchased the lock and they're going to exchange them when they get a stock of new locks. Or they'll give a refund if you can produce a receipt. Their bike racks have for a long time been CCTV monitored. Now there are signs taped to them warning of the vulnerability of U-Locks. They're offering loaner chains and padlocks to their customers while they shop. Looks like I don't have 45 dollar decoy anchor after all! -- zk |
