Hi, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good bicycle mirror for use
on a Jett Creek recumbent bicycle? |

I have never seen any bike-mounted mirror that didn't vibrate badly, and besides, if your mirrors are head-mounted, you can look around in different directions behind you, not just "behind the bike". And you can always watch in two opposite directions at once. A rear-view mirror is pretty much required for bents, because unless you're an owl it's darn-near impossible to turn your head around enough to see anything back there..... |

Does it really help to have two mirrors? I have a grip end mount
mirror on the left side of my Tour Easy and it seems adequate - would a right side mirror would help any? A lot of folk prefer a helmet mounted mirror, but I enjoy dual miiror-cylce grip end mount mirrors on my Tour Easy. Looks like they would work well on a Jett Creek style as well. Mike |

I've ridden with a helmet- or glasses-mount mirror for more thirty
years. cannot imagine riding without a mirror. How would anyone DRIVE without their mirrors? I switched to Mirro-cycles a few years ago, one on each side. I still glance over my shoulder whenever changing lanes. I can hear cars if they're in the blind spot but sometimes there's a bike there. Get good mirrors, use 'em and learn to glance over your shoulder without tipping your handlebars. david boise ID |

I suppose mirrors are a good idea on a recumbent, but until they start
equiping them with a reverse gear, it doesn't really compare to driving a car without a mirror. Lars wrote in message oups.com...
