Possible answers. 1. More bikes being ridden by people because they want to avoid crowds on subway. So more bikes are on the street to steal by the crooks. 2. More people are wanting to ride bikes now to avoid the crowds on the subway. So the thieves have more potential customers to sell their stolen bikes to. So they are stealing more bikes. What is causing the extra thievery? Is it the extra demand or the extra supply? |
