More cycle race carnage
A CYCLIST is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious road
traffic collision during a cycle race on Exmoor yesterday (April 22). It is believed the cyclist was travelling down the hill and the car up when they were in collision. The cyclist came to rest under the car and was trapped for some time. Another totally unneeded crash, costing thousands. How many cyclists will it take before road racing is banned? http://www.thisisthewestcountry.co.u...s ion/?ref=nt |

Cheerless, That link describes it as a cycing event, not a "cycling event" not a race. Why did you describe it as a race? If you do a little research, you'll find out that the Exmoor Beauty ride is a social ride, definitely not a race. I see you are as reliable as ever |

Cheerless, That link describes it as a cycing event, not a "cycling event" not a race. Why did you describe it as a race? So why do they time the people entering for it then? It was clearly a race - and should not be allowed. I suppose the plus point is that the more people who are injured or killed in them, the more likely hood there is of them all being banned. You would have thought that as it took "some time" to remove the remains of the cyclist from under his car - he should have realised that things were not quite as they should have been. |
