Are torker bikes any good? Looking for a winter commuter.

Torker was Redline's second brand. Not glitzy nor
feature-laden but not junk either. Should be fine.

As with any basic bike in winter some time spent in
preventative lubrication will be time well spent.

What makes it a tri-bike, and does it have room for fenders?
I guess if it's for tri, it won't.

Tri can mean a lot of things, in this case it means 650C
571mm wheels. That would be a deal-breaker for me as a daily
ride. YMMV.

At any rate a 25+ year old machine will probably benefit
from a thorough take-everything-apart lubrication session.

p.s. Mudguards maybe but note lack of eyelets and skinny
tires. With wider tires, clearances will be tighter.

For the price that looks great. Steel frame, steel fork (not cromoly
though; may not be as strong as you expect), eyelets, tallish
headtube, decent enough Alex rims, decent enough Sora components.

Apparently it sold new for $569:

I thought you were in the SFBA, though, not Reno?

I believe someone makes a set of eyelets that fit under the skewer if
that is the only problem.
