Default Looking to do some upgrading over the winter

I have a Rocky Mountain hardtail (Soul) and am looking to upgrade some
parts. Front suspension would be first then maybe maybe try a set of disc
brakes. I'm not really sure how far I should go with this bike. Budget is
$400 CDN for suspension. Anything would be better than the Rock Shox XC on
it now! I'v been not used it to hard but want to go farther. Any
suggestions? Parts don't have to be current models so I should be able to
get something from the past year at discount someplace?

It is possible to get a deal or two on ebay (usually lots of suspension
forks around there) if you know the retail prices on things and don't
get caught up in the whole "have to win" thing. My LBS also sometimes
has things around the shop that others got rid of when new more
"prestigious" parts became available. Good luck.

Kraig...

Chris swing by The Radical Edge or SkiWolf. It's past the end of season
so they're likely looking to unload last years stock to make room for
skies etc. and next years bikes.

One thing you might do is some serious looking for used bikes at that price.
Component costs add up really fast...but if you can find somebody with a nice
bike that wants to get rid of it.....
