So typical of a piece of crap like you to exploit the tragic death of

a human
being to further your useless cause.

Uh, his cause is to annoy folks in usenet. It seems to be working
nicely.

Nothing like this ever happens to hikers, right? Well guess what,

Mikey: LIFE
is dangerous. You could be struck by lightning tomorrow. (One can

only hope.)

Hypothermia? Nope, never happens to anyone but mountain bikers. After
all, that's what killed this guy, according to the report.

If you ever hear of anyone dying of hypothermia, you know that person
was a mountain biker.

Everyone please stop eating food, because this article and darwin both
agree.

"Even though food poisoning is relatively rare in the United States, it
affects between 60 and 80 million people worldwide each year and results
in approximately 6 to 8 million deaths." -

That's right, 6-8 MILLION deaths. We must put a stop to this tragedy
at once. Dump all food into your garbage can right now.

The average mountaineer looses a couple of friends a year.

Driving is dangerous too, but nobody is advocating that cars should be
banned.

I heard that President Bush almost choked on a hard pretzel a couple
of years ago. We should ban all hard snack foods that might choke
people.

I like soft pretzels better, anyway.

Anecdotal "evidence" is not science, it is collecting stories which
can be warped to prove your original point.

Mikie did not report on all of the tens of thousands of mountain
bikers who safely completed their rides last week. That is equally
valid.

Happy trails,
