Default Damn! Riding a bicycle sure does make life complicated!

Dammit, every time I want to go somewhere on my bike, I need to figure
out how to carry stuff with me. I think the government should pass a
law to solve this problem!

Also, every time I get a flat tire I need to figure out how I'm going
to get it to the bike shop so they can fix it for me. And then they
charge me $20 for labor and $6.00 for the tube! This is terribly
unfair, and I think the government should take steps to prevent it!
They should require bike shops to fix flats for free in order to
encourage cycling! Why the hell should I be required to learn to fix
flats?

Then, too, when one of my wheels goes slightly out of true, same deal:
I've got to figure out how to get the bike to the LBS, and then they
have the affrontery to CHARGE me for it! I think the government
should make them true my wheels for free. NO WAY am I ever going to
learn to build or true wheels!

And anybody who doesn't agree with me in each precise detail is not an
authentic cyclist.

But that is EXACTLY what you guys do in your car-hating posts, in
which you want the government to eliminate the rights of 99.9% of the
American public to drive their cars in order to make the roads safe
for the 0.1% who ride bikes, and when you claim to have the right to
make car mechanics fix your cars at hourly rates that YOU dictate.
You can dish it out, but you can't take it.

I would have said that you let the OP's joke go right over your head. Now,
having seen his response to you, I'm not so sure. I kind of think he
originally meant it as a joke, but is willing to be a troll as
well--parallel universes ;-).

I say that if he is not willing to fix flats, etc, he should become a member
of the ABA (American Bicycle Assn), and carry their towing insurance. Next
time he gets a flat, a pedal-powered tow vehicle will respond. They also
handle lockouts, if you lock your key in your bike. and they will deliver a
Powerbar if you run complely out of energy on a ride.

Anybody know the latest on the psychology of trolls? Do they do it
just because they don't have a life, or is the behavior a sign of
deeper problems?

Don't give me any of your "troll" bull****. You guys just don't want
to hear anything that you disagree with, and you try to invalidate any
such opinions by labeling them a "troll". Save your breath.
