Web page to report drivers using mobile phones
A friend of mine has just set up a web page to report Victorian drivers
using mobile phones. Go to the web address below, and there is a simple form which you fill in with the date, place, offender's rego number, and your comments. Then just press a button and your report will be emailed directly to the Victorian Police Minister, Andre Haermeyer. If he gets enough of us who report this dangerous practice, then maybe he'll get serious about having the cops enforce the law. http://www.ratbagitinerant.com/cm/phones.html cheers Justin |

I think everyone should have to sit a currency test to maintain a licence. You maybe able to get someone fined for using a mobile phone whilst driving. In NSW anyway (might have been other places) there was a push to dob in a cigeratte butt thrower. You would have to agree to testify against them in court though. Pete |

The only reason they don't police it, is that it isn't worthwhile. Look at the fines, and difficult it is to _look_ for people doing it, and compare that with something like speeding, where you basically sit on your bum with a box that takes the pictures for you. As per usual, it begs to be asked, how many more people have to be killed before the idiots finally realise how stupid it is? -- Linux Registered User # 302622 http://counter.li.org |
