BTW, Tacoma has a mandatory helmet law. It's not mentioned in the
article. My bet is that it had nothing to do with the incident, and
that it's routinely ignored, as are most of them.

Living on Fla for 28 years as an independent resident riding a bike or walking, I have witnessed several similar meetings.

Fla cops are usually 'good natured' types. No beatings witnessed.
