Perhaps we should reverse Nugents' idea and ban non essential motor vehicles.
It has been long established on this group that motor taxes don't even cover the costs of motorway maintenance let alone the costs of the other roads motorists infest.

I have nothing against cars but I do object to assumption that 'the roads are for cars'.
Roads are for people, not machines.

Would none of them go by train / Underground?

Would none of them go by taxi (which are already circulating on the
streets)?

Would none of them walk?

Would none of them decide not to bother making the "journey"?

If your answer to any of those is "yes", please explain your "working

Footage has emerged of the collision. It appears that the adult cyclist was also knocked off in the collision, which happened on a dual use path and stopped to check if everything was OK before continuing on his journey.
