Default Cyclist's revenge

I've just been reading The Cuckoo's Egg which has nothing to do with
cycling except for a short digression about when the author and some
friends were cycling just on the Canadian side of the US/Canada border
and were run off the road by some hoons in a truck on it's way to the
border. The quick thinking one among them rang US customs, described the
truck, and said he thought the truck was carrying drugs. When the
cyclists reached the border, there was the truck with seats and wheels
removed and customs officers crawling all over it. What a sweet moment
that would have been.

I'm guilty of a doing a similar thing. I was run off the road by a
Commodore full of clowns in the Royal National Park, Sydney. Anyway, this
was at the same time as our local newspaper running a story on illegal
shooters in the park.

"Yes officer, a gold commodore, insert rego here. I saw a rifle sticking
out the rear passenger window and heard shots fired...."
