Schrader? Presta? Bah! Elegant G&J valve

The Gormully & Jeffrey bicycle tire valve:

You adjust the roughly horizontal screw until its rounded head pinches
the inlet tube shut when the contraption is snapped into place via the
hinged valve cap.

I was changing a flat for a local junkie ('72 Peugeot UO18)
last June. I pulled out the inner tube and found latex arm
tie knotted around it. He said, "It was leaking so I tied it
off".
