Default Scum driver starts wriggling in court

Wriggle away little worm.

QUOTE:
"A LEIGH man has appeared in court accused of punching a cyclist in the face knocking out a front tooth and dislodging another.

Neil Richard Glover, 44, of Higher Halstock, was charged with assaulting David Ikin by beating him at Thorne on June 19 last year when he appeared before Somerset Magistrates at Yeovil.

Christine Hart, prosecuting, said that the complainant was riding his bike through the village of Thorne when he was allegedly trapped behind the defendant who was reversing a lorry.

When he got out to confront the lorry driver Glover was said to have punched him in the face causing the loss of an upper tooth, cuts to his mouth and leaving him with a further tooth dislodged.

Glover pleaded not guilty to the offence and defending solicitor Sam Morton said that his client claimed it was a case of mistaken identity and it had not been him who committed the assault.

A review of the case was conducted and the matter was adjourned for the defendant to stand trial on February 29."

How did the cyclist 'get out' surely a cyclist dismounts?

Would that be the same Neil Richard Glover of

BIRTS HILL FARM, HIGHER HALSTOCK LEIGH, YEOVIL, BA22 9QX

When convicted that may put his status as company director in peril as
the court can order him disqualified; quite right, one would not want
people with such shallow emotional control in charge of other people's
money.

perhaps the cyclist invented the assault to cover his own stupidity in
riding into a lamppost, it has happened before.

So he saw that the lorry was reversing, but he managed to get 'trapped' behind it, then he felt the need to confront the driver.

If I was a cyclist who encountered a reversing lorry, I would want to keep clear of it.

It may well be that the cyclist put himself at risk by riding in the
blind spot of a large vehicle, but it's still no excuse for knocking
his teeth out.

I would say that the onus is on the reversing vehicle driver to ensure there is nothing in his way before backing up. He should have found a banksman or had reversing sensors/cameras.

You are probably correct.
Is any excuse required for knocking out a cyclist's teeth?

He may be the director of the (now wound up) NRG associates whose van
drove into the back of a stationary vehicle in this report:

http://www.westerngazette.co.uk/Fami...future-Yeovil-
crash/story-19984324-detail/story.html

"Neil Glover, director of NRG Associates Yeovil Ltd, which is based on
Lufton Heights, confirmed that one of the firm’s vehicles had been
involved in the incident"

Wonder who was driving, and if the winding up had anything to do with the
crash?
