Under 1K. Who has the best deal? And thanks.

6061 is OK, but I like chromoly better.

Mostly city riding. I'm a bit elderly.

uneeda traditional sports touring frame sized for your body, geared for your riding, n equipped to carry stuff or not.

there are umpton used bikes on the market you can wrench up to standards or buy a cheapie new one n suffer.

Izzat what your looking for ?

The frame is designed to ride around trees not around town

The seat post angle position relative to pedals increase short turn n jumping mobility but reduces power to pedal unless you ride standing up...increasing mobility and power.

These were discontinued in 2015, but are still available in small and
medium sizes.

I built n own a sports tourer and a cyclocrosser at $1400 deore from UC n Jenson. The crosser is set up for the CDT as a trekker.....see Bikepacking.

Out back the crosser is fantastic unreal. What a bit of geometry does for the gravity gravel pile at the hill's bottom is incroyable. Zooooom right thru at 20. On the S-T, I crash.

But around town the crosser is a huge PITA relative to the traditional, mine's a '78...S-T geometry where getting power down with the crosser is difficult n frustrating. I waste 25% just thnking abt it.

The number of would be cyclists pedal Wal MTB around town is a disaster.
