Indeed your eye is untrained. That bike is made from heavy low grade steel that is welded together. These bikes were often known to bend in a crash unlike the higher grade steels Serotta used. Serotta made racing bikes for LeMond's racing team if memory serves. But NO PRODUCTION BIKES of this grade.

Maybe the bike is an old 7-Eleven race bike. Serotta made Huffy labeled bikes for the team.
