What did she do? Turned left at the road down which I wanted to go. I caught up with her - and asked if she was aware of the need to indicate when turning - and perhaps she needed to read the Highway Code. She replied - very snottily - she had read the HC - and cyclists don't have to indicate when turning at junctions. I must assume that there is a different version of the HC applicable to cyclists - which explains the not indicating being a common problem with them. Mr Pounder tried to reply: Are you sure that the HC applies to cyclists? I ask as I have never seen a cyclist indicating his/her intentions. He was not allowed to say that: discussed in uk.net.news.moderation Does the highway code apply to anyone? I thought it was just a simple explanation of the law and good practice. Surely it is the law which applies to people, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists. Anyway you should post on urc if you want Pounder to see it, which I added. |

There is no legal requirement for anyone to indicate anywhere. However, it is recommended to do so where it will benefit any other person. |
