So, what's Evans' chances? Is he a better time trialer that Contador?

The first TT was hilly, as a result the Spaniad put in a blinder BUT still
lost time to Evans. Cadel has had virtually NOT team support for the entire
mountain stages but smanaged to only lose a few of minutes. The boy is
STRONG! A bit like Lemond in 1989. Evans will win the Tour just like
Lemond in '89. I say 12''.........

Go Evans!

That depends on whether Disco all get into their team bus tomorrow and go
home.

For next year's tour, the team of each successive stage winner should be
eliminated automatically, thus saving all this tedious messing about with
drug tests. Whichever team is left on the last day then get to race
amongst themselves for the yellow jersey, before being disqualified.

Just have all the sponsors pull out, completely, no more huge budgets
and these dip****s will all be outta work,. Then they will have some
'fondos' that anybody can ride in, kinda like ride the rockies, and if
the dopers want to win that, let 'em. Big money is the problem. If
there wasn't such huge $ rewards, these guys or any pro in any sport
wouldn't try to dope.

Yeah, but Disco need not win a stage.

And technically, MR still holds the yellow jersey till he fails to
make the time cut today? Right?

Use the right terms -- it's "time trialierist"

"Timeliest trialer"

That's only the winner.

Contador wins...

Cadel beat him by a little more than a minute in the 1st TT. Contador
has a bit less than 2 minutes in hand. With the Mailloit Jaune on
his back and Bruyneel giving him the old "Venga! Venga!" routine I
don't see how Contador loses (unless, of course, he joins the ranks of
Vino, Rasmussen, et. al.)

Stage 13 results
1 A Cheater 1.06.34
2 Cadel Evans 1.14
7 Alberto Contador 2.18
9 Levi Leipheimer 2.39
11 Another cheater 2.55

1 A Retard 1.06.34
2 A Retard? 1.14
7 A Retard? 2.18
9 A Retard? 2.39
11 A Retard 2.55
