The statstics about the prevalence of mental health problems suggest that about 137% of the population suffers from one mental illness or another. I'm being a little facetious there. But most of us get along fine- we get to work, we maintain family relationships and friendships, we get done the stuff we need to get done. There's a good sized chunk of us that aren't doing so well for a variety of reasons- schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, autism, substance abuse, brain injuries, etc.- and getting good help can be critical for them to be as safe, healthy and productive as they can. Frankly there are enough of those folks that it's not necessary to cast a wider net and convince even more people that there is something wrong with them; the mental health system as it stands now can barely keep up with the load and sometimes muffs it big time. That's listed now- you have asymptomatic nonspecific psychological troubles. LOL! |

I think it means that it's crazy to challenge 3500 pound vehicles driven by strangers. Amazing. Maybe he doesn't understand the word challenge since he's always controlling them... Duane, why not give a clear and concise example of how you avoid challenging 3500 pound vehicles driven by strangers? For example, what _do_ you do when you're riding in an ten-foot-wide lane, and an eight foot wide truck approaches from the rear? Or do you simply refuse to ride such a street? My ride today was over 25 miles across town, to an oddball hardware store for some specialty items. It involved park roads, suburban residential streets, suburban collector roads, city streets and busy highways. Whenever necessary (which was often) I rode near lane center to prevent dangerously close passes. There was not one negative reaction during the entire ride. If I were to avoid "challenging" drivers by staying out of their way - assuming that's what was meant - I'd have had to drive to that store. -- - Frank Krygowski |

There was not one negative reaction during the entire ride. KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK ? WOW ! outstanding beyond category ..... on TODAYS RIDE in GooMaps http://goo.gl/HeTEbZ which is more interesting by far than your ..... I had several choices of going around dangerous intersection with a short scenic bypass...provided by the county or state...cannu believe it ? I AM THE ONLY RIDER TAKING THAT PATH The other witless riders go thru 1.5 miles of get hit from behind.. with a unused sidewalk bike path 200 yards away. There are problems with courteous female drivers holding traffic back to let me across before they run me down. I use obscenity for moving traffic, closing first and thumb in hole on left hand, poking index of right into hole several times then repeating the motion to get on with it...that lane has a separate merge lane on the main drag. previously posted. I refuse these baboons rights for directing traffic I WILL DIRECT TRAFFIC ! |
