The Tour de France under the influence of 'ill-intentioned doctors"

"The non negative test that Alexandre Vinokourov was 'subjected
to', has plumped another cloud over the already devastated cycling landscape
and put an end to Vinokourov's reputation as the heroic martyr of the Tour
de France 2007 with his stitched-up knees and Kazak fuelled sprints. ... Pat
McQuaid, president of the international cyclist union had expressed serious
reservations about Vinkourov, leader of the Astana team, well before the
departure from London", writes Simon Meier. "McQuaid couldn't have kicked up
a fuss on mere intuition. He knew what just about everyone sensed. ... Why
not get rid of a dozen ill-intentioned 'doctors' - including Michele
Ferrari, Vinkourov's doctor - and a handful of corrupt managers for a
start?"

And let's get rid of a corrupt UCI President who came into office
after a rigged election and who used a false names to enter
non-sanctioned races.

Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity
and a blind desire for safety and security.

Esteemed Knucklehead:

Don't confuse the message with the messenger.

McQuaid is a sanctimonious tool but he is certainly privy to more
inside information as well as unsubstantiated rumor than the bulk of
the fatty masters here.
