You do not seem to understand what 'colour' commentator means.
It means the commentator has some personality ! These guyz would be great for a show about Ex-lax but not cycling. Color commentators have been around a lot longer than those clowns and their type. Color commentators add depth with stories and trivia regardless of how "colorful" the dickhead is.
