Where are you in Florida? Trust me, we have our share of folks who get
aggravated at us being on the road, but I have yet to be yelled at by
what I would consider a redneck. I don't get bothered much and when it
does happen it is invariably by a young guy in an Accord or a Jetta
with one of those fart can mufflers.

I am on the west coast, Sarasota county, Venice. Not more than two weeks
ago I had the redneck passenger in a white Chevy truck yell out "Why
don't you ride that f---ing thing on the sidewalk!" I just smiled and waved.

How about living in an area full of Get 'er Done rednecks who like to
bark degrding comments as they buzz by in their 4x4s? Now that I commute
in MTB wear I take much less grief.

How did you know, Ken? I dodge good ol' boys AND silver haired Yankee
retirees. Adrenaline, baby. Pure adrenaline.

Citrus county. We have an interesting mix of dyed in the wool rednecks and
Yankee retirees. Makes for interesting riding. I've been wolf whistled at,
buzzed, cut off, tailgated, you name it.
