Pretty fast indeed, but there was mention of a tailwind.


That plus the wind tunnel testing that many teams have gone through. It
makes a bigger difference than many think. The time trialist of today uses
equipment and expertise that puts him far ahead of the guy in the 70s. Time
trialing is one area where I'd say that equipment has made a bigger
difference than performance-enhancing drugs.
