My thinking is still quite far to the left and will always be but its time
to listen as well as talk. Those poeple on the far right are good, well
meaning people (most of them). We don't need to agree about everything but
we do need to listen to each other and find a different way to move forward
other than "Attack Attack Attack".

Right / Left, Liberal / Conservative, these are labels that have outlived
their usefulness. Ed and I have often found a place where we can agree about
things so all things are possible.

America has finally reached a European maturity and we shall never be united
again on much of anything. The nation is now permanently split into many
factions just as is the entire continent of Europe. But dream on if you
think we can ever be one people again.

Ed needs to learn the difference between a populist and a liberal.

I think it is fine to be a populist on CERTAIN issues, but never on ALL
issues. Too much populism can spill over to liberalism-socialism-communism.
And we now KNOW with a dead certainty (because of the history of the Soviet
