Default 2007 Giro route announcement on RAI International

In case anybody is interested, it looks as though RAI International
will broadcast the 2007 Giro route announcement show/extravaganza
thingee this afternoon at around 4:24pm EST*.

See
http://www.raiinternational.rai.it/t...20061202.shtml

Will Basso attend? Will Cippollini show up looking his metrosexual
best? The answers may surprise you. :-)

*Although RAI never sticks to their schedule so that 4:24pm could
really be 4:45pm or 4:00pm, or whenever they feel like broadcasting
it.

What decidedly didn't surprise me was clicking on the link for
"sportello Italia" (the sports show scheduled for that time) and seeing
a picture of a fetching woman in an evening gown sprawled out on a
broadcast desk.

It's a talk show about current events. Something like "In the
spotlight".

I don't get the RAI-International, but it appears to be on RAI-TRE at
14:24 CET or thereabouts - providing that football match doesn't go
overtime

Thanks for the tip, and luckily it doesn't conflict with
ESPN-Classic's 2 Hour regular Saturday Cycling Retro on the Tour:

21:00 CET
TOUR DE FRANCE 2002
Tour de France, 2002

Etape 14 : Lodève - Mont Ventoux
Richard Virenque est seul en tête mais Lance Armstrong réalise une
superbe remontée !

Therefore it might also double as a cooking show featuring recipes
including polonyium 210. Anyone for some panache with a sprinkling
of polonium ?

I nominate *POLONIUM* as the name of the new Russian vodka.

Is POLONIUM on the banned list?

Apparently Russian vodka is more poisonous than polonium. They probably
used polonium on Litvenenko because its easier to smuggle than Russian
vodka which tends towards spontaneous combustion. However Iraqi
insurgents may be interested in acquiring Russian vodka for use in IED's.

But no doubt you would approve of the crass capitalism used to sell
it (no doubt Davey who likes Pravda pin-up pix will also approve):

Yes, great stuff, a lot better than the porno variety that seem to
arrive in the mailbox regularly

Luckily Davey doesn't run a graphical browser so he doesn't have to see
them unless he specifically loads them

But these are good stuff:

The Pravda webmaster, it seems, hasn't learned how to stop hotlinking
yet, or possibly doesn't want to stop it, preferring to log IPs
instead for future use, although you can still grab the IP and boot
them too

Sooner or later they'll try drinking it. Stay the course.

I would call that nice-ass capitalism, not crass capitalism. I approve
of both.
