Default a 3 hour tour.. a 3 hour tour

Fortunately the weather never got rough. It was a gorgeous day for a run up
to the lake. I had my first serious lung burn doing the up and down
switchbacks. That trail is rated as 2 black diamonds - not the roughest but
a repetitive series of climbs that gets the sweat flowing and the lungs

Damn that felt good.

Saw a beaver too. Considering they are the national symbol they are kind of
rare. I can't say I've seen more than handful over the years - maybe they's
just sneaky.

Oh, and the Canada Geese are in full maternity mode. I saw something like a
dozen pairs shepherding little yellow fuzzball chicks around. It's amazing
how brave they get when they go into defence mode - hissing and doing some
kind of weird head bob if you have the temerity to ride too close. Though
they will deign to take raw sesame seeds from you. A free lunch is a free
lunch after all.
All in all a real pur-r-r-r-rty day.

It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky' -john lennon
