Well, sort of, they run the risk of being stepped upon, but they got
the "freedom" to run around. Welcome to the Jungle...

(long article snipped)

*Of*course* it's possible. Might have to change lifestyle though; might be a
stretch to choose to live fifty miles beyond where the antelope roam and choose
to work in the city. Operative words are "choose" and "choose".

Now we can discuss the question: "Is it possible to live without a cell phone".

This is a matter of evolution. There seems to have been some genetic
drift about 20 years ago. So if you're 21 and over then the answer is
yes. Under 21, it may be possible but much more difficult than living
without a car.

I'm thinking the real question is - "is it possible to DRIVE without a
cell phone stuck to your ear"? I'm beginning to think that for about
half of the population, the answer is (lamentably) "no".

I saw a sticker on the back of a motorcycle the other day, which read
"Would you drive better if that phone was stuck up your arse?"

I have filed this one away for future use.

The one that I've wanted to see is "If your mommy talks on the phone
when she drives you to school, she doesn't love you very much".

I suggested a billboard with that message, and had people offering to
send money to help fund it! ;-)

I hate to bring this up, Mark, but do you really think that such drivers
would notice that billboard???

Since you do custom frames...would you build a recumbent trike frame???

So, how much *is* a billboard these days? Maybe I could get my work to
kick in a few bucks [1].

[1] I work for Irevmbajveryrff. Hmmm, maybe not.

Probably not - I nearly got T-boned by one who didn't see me this
afternoon, for example. :-(

Haven't pursued any 'bents, sorry. Doing so would require a major
investment in (very expensive) jigs, and from what I've seen there
just isn't enough volume to justify it. Now if you and 100 of your
closest friends all wanted to buy one. Errrr, each. ;-)
