Default 28'r in the dirt and I found another unicyclist!!!!!!

Today, I took the 28'r for it's maiden trail ride and was pleasantly
surprised at how well it handled the terrain as it still has the
original "road tire" on it. A young fellow named Matt had noticed my
unicycle avatar on one of the mountain bike forums that I posted on a
few weeks ago and we have been trying to get together for a uni ride.
Today it finally happened!
I met Matt at McAllister park and asked to see his uni. It was a 20"
that he'd had for about 10 years, so I offered up my 24x3 Yuni Muni and
off we went. Matt had never ridden any uni other than his 20" and did
quite well on both my 24x3 and my 28'r.
After riding for a short distance, I realized that his skill level
greatly surpassed mine and was sooooo glad that I was on the 28'r and he
was on the 24x3 so that I had a better chance of keeping up with him.
The difference in speed between the two is amazing!
We ended up with a fun 6 mile ride and he's already talking about
getting a Muni.

Kenny,

Glad to hear you found another possible muni guy in our area!
We need to all get together for a ride soon.

We were talking about heading back to McAllister Park for the "FREE" 12
Hours of Mac this coming Saturday.

Going to try to be there for the 8 a.m. start time to get in some Muni
before the high temps set in. Maybe you can join us for a little "fun in
the sun"
