I'm not trying to "dis" and trials riders or anything, but I just don't
think of trials as actually unicycling. I mean, you don't pedal, you
just jump up and down on the unicycle. You might as well have a pogo
stick, it has a much better bounce. Any comments on this? Again, I'm
not trying to be mean or anything, please don't get upset if you
disagree.

that's kinda like saying if you're gonna do street just go ride a
skateboard.
of course I don't think that way..

street and trials are both equally challenging and can both be very
impressive.

hmm
if I spent less time doing trials and more time doing street im sure I
could have at least a hickflip down by now... its not that trials
riders don't have the ability to learn street tricks. They just don't
practice them as often as a street rider.
that said, i like freestyle, i find it calming and a pretty good warm
up to anything. I like street because it involves launching over 9
sets (or is that trials)
The ultimate Unicycling run IMO is doing a cool freestyle trick into a
trials line, and doing street tricks on the line. That is only my style
though, we are all entitled to unicycle as we want to.

personally, i don't like straight trials that much. But, i do like urban
trials and stuff where the trials is mixed with street. For me, it
can't get better than that.

I agree 100% I love putting a street flare to my trials.

i have only done 1
thats all I have ever found to do, it was night, and I didn't have a
video camera, and the next one I do is going to have a MUCH MUCH better
run-up, and its not going to be pitch black.

I want to try a 10-12 set w/ reasonable run up

Yea i started doing street because it looked kool, and my goal was/and
is to get sponcered one day, plus, the people think unicycling is
weird, but it looks the best, since all my friends exept one ride
unicycles, and that one, is getting lazy, (genesis4) and wants to go
Muni in The middle of Nebraska.

But i think trials jumps are soooo sweet, im committing myself to 30
minutes, to 2 hours of just jumping. (legs are gunna hurt) Then 1 to
3 hours of street instead of 1 to 5 hours of just street.

But i think even street riders add some trials in to their tricks,
because it flairs it up.
