Back pain while biking is usually caused by poor biking posture. I
would suggest you to improve your posture riding bike. If you still
have the back pain, then you should consult a chiropractor. You can
also visit http://myhhchiro.com, to know more about back pain and its
treatments.

Or to save money and get results, do not ever consult a chiropractor.

Better to see a sports physio who can talk cycling, or an experienced fitness
trainer with cycling in hir background, or a crusty old cycling coach.

You may need to sort out posture, flexibility, strength and the level of work
you are doing. Get assessed.

Reduced flexibility also. Stretching the various muscle groups that
attach direct to the spine and hips (assuming it's lower back) may
alleviate discomfort.

The psoas muscle in particular, can get shortened and cause poor posture
and back pain.

You often see professional racers stretch on the bike. They're not immune.

Some lower back pain froms from laxness in the sacro-iliac, and stretching
(the wrong way) makes this worse. For this, sacrum and pelvis need some
re-alignment, and some strengthening. [But this may not be the case for you].

You may need to cross train at something that builds some complementary
strength (rock climbing, yoga, weights, sit ups, etc) if you have become too
specialised in your activities. [But this may not be the case for you].

Your bike may not be set up for you. Seat too high. Handlebars too low or too
far out, etc. [But this may not be the case for you].
