Since SIDI shoes have gone up in price so much in the last couple years, I'd like to keep the ones I have now, looking good. What is the best stuff to rub on the leather, that will preserve them the best against the elements? I have the SIDI Genius model. A good tip to keep them like new (in particular if you have a white model), is not to fall on a hairpin turn the third time you wear them. Don't ask me how I know this. Francesco |

Francesco Also, don't come off and slide 8ft along the ground before coming to a stop. Wearing Neoprene shoe covers over the top won't help either, the tarmac soon wears through. They were covered in mud, even though I was on a road bike. Hit them with a hose when I got home, and jammed old newspapers in them to let them dry out. And they came out like new, I was very surprised. Believe it or not, Pampers seem to pull the moisture out much better than newspaper. But then....that's what it's supposed to do John |
