Default shimano 10spd chain skip

I just installed a brand new drive train. It's 10sp shimano durace.
11-23 cassette w/wipperman hollowpin chain.

The chain skips at the same point in the pedal stroke when in the 11
cog. This goes for whether it's in the 53 or 39 ring. Every other
combination works fine and I couldn't find any binding links.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my 9s setup. I found that the quick
connect link (whatever it's called) caused problems with the 11. I
eliminated it and had no further problems.

Flip the connex link over, it's taller on one side. Solved my problems.

You're right--I just checked and they are not symmetrical. Works okay
now.
