Ultegra 6700 cable routing. Any "best" way of doing this?
Hi all:
After 13 years with my very serviceable Ultegra 9-speed set I'm coming into the semi-modern world with the Ultegra 6700 group and its new-to-me under the bar tape routing of the shifter cables. I see 4 different ways to set this up: 1)cables behind the bar with the cables crossed under the down tube, 2)cables behind the bar with cables parallel to the down tube, 3)cables in front of the bar with cables crossed, 4)cables in front of the car with cables not crossed. Anybody with experience that thinks one (or two) of these options is better than the others? Right now I've got things set up using the first option, (and no bar tape), but first ride is some days away. TIA. Tom Young |

Saves the paint. - Frank Krygowski |
