....and highlight the First Amendment. Last time I checked, you can't
punch people for speaking their mind in a public place.

Thanks,

Dumbape,

As a legal mind such as yourself knows,
the First Amendment says the government can't
punch you for speaking your mind, but the First doesn't
prevent Johnny Page's brother in law from punching
you, or Cori Page from putting you in a headlock.

If you didn't want to get put in a headlock by a girl,
you should have kept your mouth shut, and maybe
also not got so stinking drunk and run around
shirtless asking people to look at your manly
bike-racer chest, Mr. Hairless Ape.

Merry Christmas,
Ben

It's called assault, jackass. And although the First Amendment cannot
technically be violated by a layperson, assaulting someone because you don't
like what they say is still a felony.

There was only one criminal there that day: Page's brother-in-law and his
wife.

Thanks,

Magilla

Assault is a matter of state law, not Federal, unless there
are associated Federal violations like kidnapping or civil
rights violations. And not only can the First Amendment
not be "technically" violated by an individual civilian
("layperson"?), it can't be violated at all by one who is
not acting with quasi-governmental authority. "Technical"
is a word for in-race mechanical failures, not federal law.

The guy who started shouting during the Page interview
was guilty mostly of being a dumbass, but if a cop
had happened along he could have got arrested for
disturbing the peace (aka "anything the po-po thinks
you should stop doing.")

There was only one criminal there that day: Page's brother-in-law and his
wife.

That's two criminals, dumbass.

Please, go ahead and try pressing Federal charges against
Cori Page for assault, kidnapping and violating your civil
rights, in addition to animal cruelty to a protected primate
species.

I'm sorry Johnny Page's wife spoiled your Christmas,
Ben

All states have ratified the Bill of Rights in their own state constitution.
Hecklers have a First Amendment right to free speech in a public state park.
They also have a right to be free from assault while in a public park.

The people disturbing the peace were the ones doing the assaulting - Page's
brother-in-law and Page's wife. Believe it or not, booing and heckling at a
sports event is not "disturbing the peace." Every go to a professional sporting
event before, jackass?

The First Amendment protects content. Had that same guy been yelling "Great job,
Jonathan!" would your hypothetical cop have arrested them for saying that? If
the answer is no - and we all know it is - then the cop just violated his civil
rights for arresting him for heckling Page because the basis of the arrest was
the content of his speech. Everybody was yelling and ringing cow bells in the
park that day.

Thanks,

Magilla

Page's wife and her brother should have been arrested for assault. The heckler
could not have been arrested because he had a First Amendment right to heckle at
a sporting event held in a public park. With cheers comes boos.

Do you think fans get arrested for booing at NFL games? Baseball games?
Basketball games?

But I guess if you're Jonathan Page's wife, you have to be able to rationalize
anything including assaulting people because they heckle your husband at a
sporting event - which is quite a pathetic rationalization.

Ever go to a high school or college football game and watch what the fans do to
the opposing team? Ever see what the basketball fans behind the glass backboard
do to a free throw shooter from the away team?

You don't see them getting arrested or attacked, do you?

Thanks,

Magilla

Booing during the race is fine and dandy. Booing
during the post race interview is being a jackass.
I don't think a cop should arrest you for that, but
he clearly could, because cops arrest people for
that kind of nonsense all the time.

Tool, the First Amendment has nothing to do with
this. The First Amendment doesn't protect you from
Cori Page putting you in a headlock.
State laws against assault protect you from that.
The fact that you were booing is immaterial. If
putting you in a headlock is illegal, it's illegal whether
you were shouting or not.

I hear that Cori Page gave you a noogie because
she was offended by your lack of knowledge
of constitutional law.

Are you saying it's illegal to boo and heckle during a sporting event?

The question is rhetorical.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTPnHN_yJpY

You think the NYC Police arrested 14,000 people after this?

Get a clue. Jonathan Page and his sycophantic entourage are delusional if they think
that they get to decide how fans can express themselves.

Thanks,

Magilla

You have a First Amendment right to express yourself in a public park. That protects
you from getting arrested by the police. You also have a right not to be assaulted in
a public park just because someone doesn't like what you said.

Page, his brother-in-law, and his wife Cori are delusional idiots for thinking they
had a right to physically assault someone just because they didn't like what he was
saying.

If I were there I would have joined in the heckling. No wonder why Page sucks so bad
- he and his entourage have the ability to rationalize anything.

Magilla
