Default ditching backpack for timbuk2 - opinions

i have the citizen (one size down), dig it, have used it every day for 2
years, saw it in sf. nice bag. great size for commuting or normal stuff.
that thing handles abuse and bad weather pretty well. no shifting. i don't
really like the belt buckle, tho. it adds weight in an ackward place and
you have to watch it when you unbuckle (i keep whacking my top tube with
it) and on a bag this small it's not really warranted anyway.

i also have the kremlin they sell on the backdoor page (as the kozmo messenger
bag) and actually like it a bit more than the normal kremlin and it sells
for quite a bit less @ $60 (vs $130). it doesn't use the damn belt buckle,
instead it has a plastic buckle that so far has held up just as well. the
bag is *HUGE*. i've used it for luggage on month long trips and for grocery
shopping. i also put a tivo in there once and rode back from the store with
it .. the tivo was in the box at the time with some shirts and pants i'd
bought and there was still room. it's insanely orange, tho, which makes up
for the fact that i never wear brightly coloured clothes. the bag's liner is
of the weird pizza-carrier type, not the normal chrome. but, it's no biggie.
