Default Problems with Altus derailleur pulley

The upper pulley of my rear derailleur is too close to the cogs, and
sometimes it seems to be coming in contact with the same (with a bang,
apparently).
I have not found the notorious B screw (L and H ones I do have) on the
derailleur.. I fear the Altus doesn't have one.
What do I do? :\

Try shortening your chain.

Hi, I meant to look yesterday, but it slipped my mind. I have an Altus
that the LBS put on my 28 year old road bike, before I started doing
my own work. Anyway, on mine, there is no B screw. They used an
adapter and it looks like the position could be changed where the
Altus bolts to the hanger adapter. That would be one bolt up from
where the whole deraileur pivots.

Life is Good!
Jeff
