If you already run a mailing list for the moderators - why not just
open it up to the rest of the clique and lo and behold you have a
working group for discussing cycling and festering in your own pus.

You will have the control which you seem to oh so need - and you will
be able to treat the other listers with contempt if they don't toe
your line.

Go for it - and then URCM can totally die.

Everybody's happy - and the real discussions will continue in urc.

As well as being narcissistic they also need to feed on intelligent
thought, for they are unable to create new thoughts and so continually
stir the old pot until something pops out now and again. Without
external stimuli they continue to fester. The purpose of the false
newsgroup is to trap the unwary into feeding their uncreative minds.
Unfortunately for them, their self-centred attention drives away the
hand that feeds them.
