#
A671 BURNLEY TO A59 WHALLEY

# 10km single lane
# Fatal/serious collisions 2000-2002: 27
# Fatal/serious collisions 2003-2005: 21
# Most common collision type: Pedestrians/cyclists (43%)

Thats 20 odd peds/cyclists killed in 6 miles in six years.

None of the "Most common collision type"s mention "speed
camera" or "Rear end"

I bet you will find that that stretch of road is lined with speed
camers, thus proving beyond doubt that cameras cause accidents. Or at
least they do on Planet Zog.

Those numbers don't say how many fatalities occurred.

None of the "Most common collision type"s mention "speed
camera" or "Rear end"

Neither do they mention responsibilities either.

The figures are so vague that there may actually be no pedestrian or cyclist
fatalities, with 43% of the collisions being cyclists running into
pedestrians...

"Lies, damn lies and statistics".

Sorry it should be killed or seriously injured.

True, but I doubt that is the case.

In another thread in this group, it's clear that a motor vehicle must be
involved for it to count as an incident.

Reminds me of another point of view ;-)
