Unicycles on School Buses and Communist bus Drivers
dunawan wrote: Get a Hollow body guitar gig-bag and your unicycle should fit right in there...the perfect disguise That's a good idea, almost the right size. But since unicycling is becoming bigger and they're making quite a few gagdets for them, they should really make unicycle specific bags that will hold up to a 29" wheel and not require any disasembling. I for one would buy one. Hey also, does anybody happen to know the rule for airlines. When they give you a number that the h+w+l can't be over, what happens if it's a made to fit bag? Then the top part would be much smaller than the wheel/bottom part, so how do they calculate that? -- AscenXion *\ /* */ \* *SingleTrak'n* *Order Of One [O³]* *You've shown your true face, AscenXion, and revealed that only an exclusive order of people can exist in your world where you are an intolerant god.* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ AscenXion's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/12303 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/58311 |

Uniman_3 wrote: Ok Hitler=Nazi but he ran a communist type socieity....its just a generalization..everyone knows what i mean.. nazi = national socialist = extreme nationalism = fascism communism is on the other side of the political spectrum. simply speaking, at both extremes of the political spectrum, regimes can seem somewhat similar in their totalitarianism. they both rely on having a director with absolute power who enforces a way of life upon the citizens of the regime. according to "Wikipedia" In modern Western countries, the political spectrum is usually described along left-right lines, based on the seating of the liberal and conservative members of the Legislative Assembly of France in 1791, where liberal and conservative were partly defined by attitudes towards the ancien regime. (See section Historical origin of the terms.) This traditional political spectrum has come to be defined along an axis with socialism and communism, ("the Left") on one end, and nationalism and Fascism ("the Right") on the other. there are multidimensional models of the political spectrum, however the way i tend to look at things is imagining the political spectrum as something of a horseshoe shape with communism on one end, naziism on the other and more moderate views towards the middle- conservatism on the middle right and labour (uk parliamentary parties) on the middle left. liberal democrats are supposed to be closer to the centre, but tending towards the left a little i think. ..... aaaanyways, did you ask her about her rationale for preventing your boarding the bus with the unicycle? from what i can imagine, reasons may range from safety (if she thinks it is unsafe due to it taking on a life of its own and holding the members of the bus hostage) ...to issues with space (she may invoke an argument running along the lines of 'the larger the object, the more related to school activities it must be', which would allow your 300lb school colleague; as he wouldn't be able to participate in any school activity without himself, and instruments such as keyboards, pianos, drum kits etc.) ...to a deep seated psychological fear of unicycles due to some horrible scarring she got in childhood of seeing a scary looking clown clowning around on a unicycle (in which case you must insist that you are curing her of her fear by getting the scariest looking unicycle you could possibly find with pinned pedals and big fat scary looking nobbly tire and exposing it to her for a short period of time. of course, because she is driving the bus, i would be careful of this one. her jitters could cause her to drive rather erratically which would be dangerous for you.) i would suspect that her unwillingness to let you board the bus may lie more in the aforementioned reasons as opposed to her particular ideologies, but we will never know unless she is prepared to share her reasons with you. jumping to conclusions and branding her with unfounded allegations as to her political allegiance is just as bad as her accusing you of being a terrorist attempting to board a school bus with a weapon of mass destruction. has she done this? if so, i would not suggest stooping to her level. use your superior intelligence and charm to win her over. peace -- epistolize affirmation: i will hit tricks in a heavy stylee, quit prehoppin and flow freely organise my thughts into lines and WORK "I lli T! eratepeoplegetthefulleffectofalphabetsoup?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ epistolize's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/11876 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/58311 |
