If you are using two hands - don't

Ride faster and try to not put as much pressure down on the crank.

That was my problem for a while. Solve the problem by using momentum
for the flip at first. Committing goes without saying though. You are
either pulling up on the saddle too hard to flip, or you are using only
weight to flip the cranks. You need an even combination of the two.
Get a few normal speeded revs in, and don't slow down before the flip.
Just push a little bit, pull up slightly to get the height, and let the
momentum do the rest.

Thats all the advice I can cram into one post.

Try to catch your flips.

Catch it with your back foot before hitting the ground.

Pretty much anything where the cranks are flipping is new school and
anything where the cranks aren't flipping it's old school.
