How does it compare to the impression of a pedestrian's head on a windscreen? If they want to be constructive they should tell us about the events leading up to the collision so we get a better idea of how to avoid leaving an impression in the first place. Lancs Road Police @LancsRoadPolice Replying to @LancsRoadPolice Thanks for the replies - hopefully everyone knows we would never, ever victim blame. The rider has a broken arm but was wearing a helmet which has undoubtedly helped to prevent more serious injury and the original tweet just sought to highlight their benefits. ENDS Just a broken arm them - no head injury, so the helmet had no part to play in the collision. Poor police reporting. Indeed. Eye protection from the glass is probably more useful. Combining the damage we can see with knowing about his arm injury, it is easier to imagine that his body hit the screen side on and the centre of damage was his elbow, not his head. Short of having a full motorcycle helmet, it wouldn't have covered the right part of his head. |
