Default New Orleans LA to Ocean Springs MS

Pre-Katrina, I've ridden this route before (http://
http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/p...ge_id=5002&v=0) and I'd
like to do it again - but don't know if I can get through.

Essentially, take Rt. 90 to near Bayside Park, then scoot down to
Beach Blvd along the gulf and follow that back to Rt. 90 at Bay St.
Louis.

Is Beach Blvd. still navigable by bike?

Is there camping at Buccaneer State Park? (even guerrilla camping)?

Absent camping, what are my alternatives, motels, in the general
vicinity? Any (cheap) recommendations?

I'm told the bridge to Pass Christian is partially open, can I bike
across?

I'm told the bridge between Biloxi and Ocean Springs is still out; is
that true? Do I need to take the long way around, maybe Popps Ferry
Road?

Any advice you'd care to offer on this short trip?

You can also email me R-Kastigar (at) neiu.edu

Thanks.
