I figure a lamp to be easy. The screw-in part of a regular lamp can
easily be taken out, and may just slide right into our seat tubes, if
not, bending the metal and forming it to fit wont be too tough, just
tedious. Then you can run the wires into the frame, which may require
drilling, which is also easy. A cover can just be bought, cause they
have the kind with the metal wires that just slide onto the lightbulb.

The hardest part will be building a solid base for it, which actually
wont be hard at all. A solid chunk of nice looking wood, and you can
have the bearing holders screw right into it. Stain the wood, Bevel (is
that what its called) a nice smooth look around the edges and wallah!

I want to do this to my Nimbus II frame, but its in perfect condition
still, so I feel like as soon as i use it for a project, im going to
need it. haha.

I really like that idea.

You could do it w/ just three frames, but four would prob be better.

I would screw the legs into boards and screw the boards together.
Also I'd do the same on the top for increased stability (maybe thick,
clear plexiglass). If you use seatposts, you don't need the same size
frames & would be easier to mount to the top boards.

The lamp would be really fun, but where would you run the power cord?
(would obviously need to run up to the light from the base). It would be
hard to drill out a space to run it up inside the frame. It would be
really cool to have a uni lamp, but I don't wanna zip tie a power cord
up to it.

Nice thing about ym frame is that there is a nice crack on the left hand
side, so it'll be pretty easy me thinks to open it and run the cord
through that, and at the top of the frame it'll be hidden by the lamp
shade. Should work well I might try and find a piece of metal for
the base, and get a friend to weld it on... To keep the same materials
through out. It'll be nice once I get the base ad the rim for the
lampshade

Nice idea That makes things easier.

I already have 4 matching frames (24" longneck haha - big table) so
thats not a problem.

Maybe i'll get it done till the end of the year. I hope so.
