Fat Cyclist reviews the ProTour
I don't know if anyone else here reads the Fat Cyclist blog, but it's
reasonably funny. A recent post is a long, comic review of the UCI ProTour teams: http://www.fatcyclist.com/2007/05/10...-grand-tour-pr eview/ A sample: "4. Caisse dčEpargne. Key Riders: Arroyo-Duran, Alejandro Valverde and Oscar Perreiro. Oscar Perreiro is favored to win some race or another, probably accidentally or by some weird happenstance, like the UCI decides to start enforcing anti-doping rules again briefly and for no apparent reason.č He is known as a rider who is an okay sprinter, but not very good; a decent climber, but not really much of a climber at all; and a strong man rouleur who is really kind of weak when you get right down to it. He is the really, really poor mančs Jens Voigt, except with none of the testicular fortitude, about 75% of the strength, and about 1000% more luck...."
