I live in New England, where yankee frugality dictates that road signs on the main roads are a frivolous waste of money, only the minor roads are marked. IMHO the thinking is that if you don't recongize the main roads you're obviously not from around here, and are better off lost most of the time. In the past few years, though there has been an effort to improve road signage, which I would hate to see reversed. -- |
