Default SwissStop carbon pad/Bontrager carbon rim warning

Evidence is accumulating that the SwissStop brake shoe for carbon rims
(Yellow King) is causing Bontrager carbon rim failures. Apparently the
heat buildup caused by this particular pad and the Bontrager rim surface
creates enough heat to cause collapse of the rim under severe
conditions.

No issues with the stock brake pads (Bontrager #88335 Shimano/#88336
Campy); I got 14k miles out of my first set before thinking I shouldn't
push my luck too far. Very good braking even in wet. But I'm not trying
to sell anybody brake pads, I'm trying to prevent wheel problems.

No problems with other SwissStop products, and I haven't heard of issues
with the SwissStop Yellow King pad on other carbon rims. But if you've
got Bontrager carbon rims, please do not use the SwissStop pads.

Thanks-

Never had carbon rims - do they have a wear notch like on aluminum rims?
