Anyone got a 27" x 11/4" wheel with hub suitable for fixed wheel. 120mm
OLN. That you are willing to part with? I want to try fixed wheel but without too much expense until I'm sure it's what I want. |

You should be able to get a wheel like that for almost nothing.
Check out a scrap metal yard, or even your LBS. Unscrew the freewheel, clean ALL the oil or grease of the threads on the hub, apply some Loctite, then screw a fixed gear on. This is certainly not the PERFECT way to do it but it will enable you to experience the joy of a fixie. Then you can buy a good quality wheel, as Qui si parla Campagnolo suggested. Lewis. ******* |
