Default Uncanny Picture Coincidence

Okay, so it's not exactly a r.b.tech question. At www.clifbar.com
there is an ad for a book written by Gary Erickson, founder of
Clif bar. There is a picture which must be Erickson climbing the
Gavia Pass:

Compare to the picture of Jobst on the Gavia at

http://www-math.science.unitn.it/Bik..._Alps/Gallery/

It's exactly the same spot. In fact, judging by the shadow of the
guardrail, it must be the same time of day. Were they riding
together? Were Clif bars influenced by Jobst's preferred Snickers
bars? Maybe "60 Minutes" can get to the bottom of this.

Dear Ben,

It might be that most people starting up the pass wind up at
that spot at about the same time of day.

And it could be that the corner is a well-known and
extremely picturesque spot that attracts riders with cameras
in droves, like posters swarming to chain lube threads.

But it would wise to ask whether anyone has ever seen Jobst
and Erickson together.

That's a big bike.

Somebody didn't drink the compact-frame kool-aid.
